CinePick ("we", "us") is a free movie-recommendation website at cinepick.media. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

• Account info (via Google Sign-In). When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier. We use these only to create and identify your account. We never receive or store your Google password.
• Your activity in CinePick. The movies you like, dislike, mark as seen, or add to your watchlist. We store this to personalize your recommendations.
• A sign-in cookie. One essential cookie keeps you logged in. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
• Aggregate usage analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless. It reports anonymous, aggregate traffic (e.g. page views, country) and does not identify individual visitors.

How we use your information

Solely to provide and improve CinePick: to keep you signed in, save your taste profile and watchlist, and generate personalized movie recommendations. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Third-party services

• Google — for sign-in (authentication).
• The Movie Database (TMDB) and IMDb — sources of movie information and images. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
• Cloudflare — hosting/content delivery and the cookieless analytics noted above.

These providers have their own privacy policies governing their handling of data.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account and activity data for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time — just email us (below) and we'll remove it.

Children

CinePick is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
